Happy New Year to you all and I hope that you have all had a great Christmas. I know that it may not have been the celebrations we all wanted this year but I hope that you have managed to enjoy it and all stayed safe and well. Let’s hope that 2021 will be better for us all.

Scarboccia received a grant from Pickering Town Council for equipment and to enable us to continue our Zoom subscription so that we can keep in contact with our members

Scarboccia was nominated by Valerie Aston of Scarborough Proudfoot to receive the MADL Heart of the Community Award and we are thrilled to say that we have been chosen for the award. This means that we will be able to continue and develop our hubs along the Yorkshire Coast in Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Pickering and Whitby and we hope to set up a hub in Kirkbymoorside when the pandemic allows and it is safe to do so. We are so pleased and we would like to thank Proudfoot and MADL for their generous donation and continuous support.

Scarboccia – Heart of the Community Winner 2020

We have also received a kind donation from Scarborough Mayoral Community Fund, which will be used to purchase equipment and training courses.

Scarboccia had their first Zoom Christmas Quiz on December 13th 2020 with Coastline Sight Hearing Community. It went well and was great fun but we hope that more members will be able to join us for our next get together.

Scarboccia Sessions 2021

The sessions are yet to be arranged when it is safe to do so but hopefully we will have a session every day of the week within our hubs.
