Hello everyone welcome to our Spring Newsletter. We hope that you are all keeping well and safe.
We have recently restarted our sessions at the Pickering Hub and everyone is welcome to attend

We are also started our Scarborough sessions, so if you know of anyone who would love playing disability sports then please get in touch with us. Scarboccia now have an office based at the Street in Scarborough Town Centre (Unit 26) so members can chat in private and we can continue to develop or networking with other groups and organisations and hold meetings etc.

Scarboccia would like to thank North Yorkshire County Council for the £960 funding to facilitate our Pickering Hub and the Charles Ruddock Trust based in Malton for their generous donation of £1,000 so that we can deliver to our two Scarborough Hubs and progress with our new office.

We are also pleased to announce that we have been accepted for Sport England’s Queens Platinum Jubilee Funding to receive a Grant of £6,456 that will help us to continue to facilitate our Inclusive Sport sessions for the coming year ahead whilst returning to activity after the pandemic. We also thank NYCC Stronger Communities for a Grant of £1,000.

Our Chairman recently delivered some Boccia and Kurling sessions to Scarborough Sixth Form College students, which was a great success.

We have purchased many new sports and games for our members, so that we can provide them with continued variety and choice. These are:-
Short Mat Bowls to use with the mat that was kindly donated by The First Light Trust for anyone at the Street to use.
Giant Chess
Giant Snakes and Ladders
